This week I haven't had a lot to blog about until today. I decided to drive to the park on my lunch hour and was glad I did because I finally got to see the twin fawns. I sat on the side of the road for quite some time just watching them. I then got out of my car and wandered a little closer. I don't know where momma deer was but this woman would have left my yellow high heels behind had she appeared on the scene. I watched until they walked off side by side, into the woods.
Once I returned to work, we had a torrential rain. It was sort of eerie. It became completely dark and all the street lights came on as if it was nighttime. Flash flooding in the streets, lightning strikes, sirens blaring, all part of a stormy afternoon.
This evening as we returned from a viewing of a minister who had passed, we witnessed the must beautiful vibrant colors in the sky. It was like the heavens were smiling down on us. Our minds can't even begin to comprehend how beautiful heaven must be but once in awhile, He gives us a glimpse of it here on earth. I'm reminded of the song, "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be".
How beautiful heaven must be,
Sweet home of the happy and free;
Fair haven of rest for the weary,
How beautiful heaven must be.
Until next time, from my lens to yours.
