The 4th of July means family time with picnics, BBQ's, swimming, boating, ending the day with a big bang and a display of fireworks. It is a day set aside to celebrate our freedom and rights as citizens of the United States of America. I am thankful every day that I was born in a country where we are free to worship, free to vote and live as we please.
My freedom, and yours, is at a cost and due to those who have served and continue to serve our country. I am eternally grateful to all veterans. May life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness remain and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
We celebrated the 4th this year with family, friends and a BBQ at our house. Our celebration consisted of decorating with American flags and the traditional food which consisted of grilled hotdogs, BBQ pork, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and red, white and blue desserts.
Our evening concluded with us sitting in our driveway watching fireworks from afar on Crow Mountain. We are simply blessed to live and celebrate in this great country we call America.
