The park setting is picturesque, really indescribable, so I hope you get just a little glimpse through my lens.
Carriage rides are scattered throughout the park and if you don't like the horse and carriage, you can catch a ride on the three wheeled bike carts.
Manicured paths meander through the park and along the
water’s edge. Some people strolled leisurely through the park while others jogged. Canoeists were enjoying
the day, paddling along calm waters. The only indication of the city was a
hint of tall buildings in the distant background, alluding to the city outside the gates
of the park.
The park is a perfect setting for photographers. We caught a glimpse of a wedding party having a photo shoot along a bridge and a couple posing with their pooch. Nearby, a child played on a park bench…not the typical setting you visualize when you think of New York.
The atmosphere and surroundings of the park are surreal and it is almost incomprehensible that you are in
New York. While inside Central Park, you are transformed into a different
place and time.
Chess boards were set up for those who wanted to sit down to play a
game. A violinist played under the
bridge and laughter and talking could be heard throughout the park.
Once you exit the park, reality sets in....Welcome to the big City of New York.
